Toddler Thursdays: Baby Shoes signed by Celebrities

Yes, you heard it right. Make a Wish Foundation is sponsoring a shoe bid, Stars for a Wish on all of the great shoes from Pediped

You can bid on pedipeds autographed by familiar Celebrity Baby Blog faces like Courteney Cox-Arquette, Halle Berry, Tiger Woods and Jessica Alba.

Bids start at $250 per pair and each winner will receive their shoes in their choice of a cherry-finished shadow box or a clear acrylic box complete with an engraved plaque.

Angela Edgeworth, president and co-founder of pediped, says that the response from celebrities was “overwhelming.” She notes,

“Now it’s all up to the public to bid high for these shoes so they not only receive a beautifully presented keepsake from their favorite celebrity, but more importantly, so they will be helping children.”

She has a blog and a book that she has written about non alcoholic drinks and drinks that moms to be can have.

You can even register on the website to join the Preggatini Club and meet/chat with other moms to be.

I am so excited about this, it is great!!

Mamarita

Ingredients:
1 ounce agave nectar

Rim a margarita glass and set aside. Stir agave nectar and lemon juice in the bottom of a mixing glass until nectar dissolves. Add orange juice, limeaid, and ice, then shake vigorously. Strain into the margarita glass, and serve with a lime wheel on the rim.

Bathing Suits that snap in the Crotch

So to all those parents and parents to be, it has finally happened.

Gone are the days of trying to get a 1 year old girl who has been playing in the water and is soaking wet, to lie down and let you pull off her entire bathing suit just to change her. You can undo the crotch snap and it is all done.

Snap Me Swimwear is the answer to our prayers

I have a 4 year old daughter and we prayed and prayed that something like this would come along.

Rubber Duckies that dont' get Moldy

Since adding Baby Planning to our services I have been swowwing the internet for fresh and new ideas and things in the baby realm.

So one of my new obsession is Mommies with Style a great blog about babies. The author went to ABCkids Show, which is like a baby expo. I know, I love the idea, might be my next project to get one here in Virgina.

This week I am going to be featuring some of the best finds from the expo.

Rubber Ducky

Yes, we all remember the rubber ducks for the baby tub, heck my daughter still played with them, up until I found out about this.

The problem with them are that most people don't disinfect them as regularly as they should. And mold collects on the outside and on the inside of the duck.

But Dano is to the rescue. Dano has created a duck that pops open for easy cleaning.

Children's Tylenol is being recalled

Tylenol has recalled several of their Children's Tylenol products.

This is so alarming because this is such a common thing that parents have in their medicine cabinets.

Below is a statement from Tylenol's website.

Tylenol reports on their website, “You may have heard that McNeil Consumer Healthcare (the makers of TYLENOL®) is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Children’s and Infants’ TYLENOL® liquid products that were manufactured between April, 2008 and June, 2008. All products manufactured met internal specifications. However, the company is implementing this recall because during this period, an unused portion of one inactive ingredient did not meet all quality standards. Therefore, as a precautionary measure, it was decided to recall all Children’s and Infants’ TYLENOL® liquid products listed below, which were made during this time. ”

When is a good time to start having kids?

Deciding to have a baby is such a huge decision.  There are so many thing that have to be considered when making this decision.

The main thing that is coming up lately is finance.  I know for us that was the first and foremost decision maker.
With the economy the way that it is, so many couples are trying to decide when is a good time but the key point is “There really isn’t a good time” because the longer you wait thinking that the “good time” hasn’t come, the older you get, the less change there is going to be to your finances and the more that you are going to want to have a baby.

When is a good time for you?

Budget Saving Nursery Ideas

I got an email yesterday from a writer looking for budget saving ideas for nurseries. So I put my mind to work to come up with some ideas to keep you nursery looking wonderful without breaking the bank.

Here we go....

Keep it Simple
It is only a nursery you don' have to have a million and one color palettes or every nicknack that you can find displayed.

Keep it Personal
There is nothing better than to walk in a nursery that has tons of pictures. It creates an instant calming feeling as well as allowing your child to get familar with their family members.

Don't Worry it will come together
So many parents start to freak out the closer that it gets to their due date and just go out and pay things. This is such an easy way to spend unnecessary money and totally blow a budget.

How is your nursery planning going?
